Birthday pictures

So, Grayson has had a fun birthday WEEK. It seems like we have stretched out the birthday for some sort of event everyday this week. Not really, but close. He had a lot of fun at his birthday party at Cabela's on Sunday. He has talked about it everyday this week. Monday he was having withdrawls and all he wanted to do was to go back to Cabela's and to his birthday party. Each day he has told me something new about his birthday party. The latest was that he will only eat pizza again if we are at his bday party at Cabela's. Here he is blowing his candles out on his cupcake.

This is just a random picture from the party. We were pretty unsure about having a party at Cabela's since we had never heard of one, but it actually turned out pretty well!

This is one of his favorite presents from the party. The dinosaur has actually spent some time in "time-out" this week because it seems to be scaring Addison :)

Addison's new favorite thing to do is open up all the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen. She loves to empty out the sippy cups, bowls, and plates drawer. I kick myself everytime for buying so many cups and plates and bowls!!

So here he is getting ready for his big suprise. Duncan really wanted to get him a bike for his birthday. Since he had gymnastics on his actual b-day we gave it to him Wednesday night since the weather was so nice and he actually had time to ride. So this is him getting ready.....

Then he opened his eyes.....

And saw his new bike! He was super excited!

He was even proud of his new helmet (thanks A Joy)

He didn't even need Duncan to show him how to ride, this is right before he told Daddy to let him do it by himself! He did really well, the only thing he can't figure out is when he is peddling forward not to all of the sudden peddle backward because that makes him stop. He still can't quite figure that out!

Last night we opened up the rest of his presents. This is the quilt my mom made for him. Addison has a matching quilt (well, more feminine colors) but the animal print matches.

His new shovel and rake. Addison was so funny. She was so into watching him open his gifts and kept her hands to herself and just watched.

Thanks Courtney and Shaina and Emmett for the gift! How perfect!! He loves coloring and markers, especially on the kitchen floor when we aren't watching... but I guess that is besides the point :) Thanks!!

Here he is opening the gift from his Great Grandpa and Grandma Rudy's. This gift was extra special!! He was so excited to open it! He got many many baggies with M&M's in them. Perfect 3 year old portions! This was pretty cool to him since he doesn't get much candy to have a little stash of these now.

He is thinking..... "am I seriously eating M&M's right in front of mommy & daddy right now??? I better eat fast before they notice!"

Lastly, this is from this morning. My mom got him a huge floor puzzle which is pretty cool. Both kids really liked it. Well, Addi mostly for new chewing toy fun and Grayson thinks it is real neat!

Ok last picture, we made some yummy cupcakes yesterday. They were actually my "healthy" version of a cupcake with dark chocolate frosting....yummy! He loved them and had such a fun time making them and then blowing out candles again!

Thank you everyone for making Grayson's birthday so extra special! We cannot believe our little man is already 3 years old. But the last 3 years have been so much fun! He is such an amazing little boy and although he looks so much like his father and shares many of his characteristics, I love the stubborn Rudy side of him also. Which for those of you who know him well, know it is a VERY stubborn side! He constantly keeps us on our toes and laughing, Duncan and I will look at him with awe. He is such a blessing and a truly wonderful little boy with a huge heart!
