Wow, what a fun & busy weekend! We were deliberating to either stay home and relax for the weekend or go somewhere. We woke up Friday morning and Duncan was ready to hit the road! So we took the kid's to Westport for the day. This was Duncan's 1st time with Grayson at the beach and, as you can tell from the pictures, we had a wonderful time! It was so fun to get Grayson in that environment where he can just run and run, and run, with no limits or boundries. And boy did this kid run. He was on his feet for 3 hours straight! The only time he sat down was when we burried him in the sand. He suprisingly loved it and let us bury him up to his chest. Addison did really well also, we have a little bug/sun dome canopy thingy that worked great for her! She was a trooper!
After Westport we headed up to Kingston to spend the day at Uncle Paul's house. It was a really fun day with lots of yummy food! You'll see in the pictures below that he had a red wagon and Duncan taught him to go down the hill in it and how to steer (only a few minor accidents). He was too exhausted for fireworks that night and was asleep by 8pm and out for the night! We did some fireworks with him last night and the kid ran around in circles like a dog would do. It was like he was so excited that he didn't know what to do so he just ran in a circle.
All in all it was a really fun weekend for us. It was fun to get-away as a family and spend some good time with us and the kids. Enjoy all the pics!
He did a total faceplant in the sand right after we got there and didn't really care at all. See the old couple laughing at him in the background. He spit out the sand that he could then carried on with his playtime!!
